Happy Women's Day

Happy Women's Day

International Women's Day was established by Western women for all oppressed women around the world.

In 1910, during a conference in Copenhagen, Clara Zetkin, a German socialist, proposed the idea of International Women's Day which was unanimously accepted. Since then, women have been marching annually on this day across the world, demanding shorter working hours, better pay, voting rights, education rights, marriage rights etc

We, as men, must raise our voices for the genuine rights of women. Women deserve the best healthcare, the best education, the best jobs, fair wages and respect everywhere in the world. They should not be reduced to mere objects of entertainment for men or means of profit for business owners. Women should be encouraged to wear dignified attire, like that of the President of the USA or the Queen or King of the UK. A woman should be judged by her intellect, not merely by her nude looks.

On this important day, I would like to express my gratitude to my mother, my female teachers and professors and my female doctors. I also pray to God to bless my grandmothers with the pleasures of Heaven. Moreover, I send my heartfelt love and best wishes to my sisters, my female colleagues, my friendly female students and my naughty cousins who have shown me kindness all these years.

Thank you, women, for the beautiful things you have done for men and for yourselves!

Long live our women!
