The Yesterday of Arab Nations?
Note to help understand this Arab History Chart:
Almost all of these nations gained independence less than 100 years ago and many still live with the historical trauma left by their colonial rulers. It is unrealistic to expect these nations to simply stand up for what they actually believe in or start striving for complete political and economic freedom. Their leaders understand that they may not be able to achieve all of their goals immediately. Perhaps it will take another 50, 100 or even 200 years.
Also, the "Lawrence factor" is relevant mainly to Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Jordan, not to all Arab nations.
The combined population of these nations is approximately 300 million (30 crore).
The combined annual economic output (nominal GDP) of these nations is approximately $3.05 trillion.
The leaders of these nations generally understand better than most people how to conduct themselves on the international stage, even though many ordinary Muslims like us may disagree with them or criticise some of their policies.
May the God of this universe help these nations and their people. Ameen.
========================
Today, these 12 white people possess more wealth than the combined wealth of all the richest Arab nations.
In a way, these individuals run the world and many prime ministers, presidents and kings are their loyal employees. They often influence what people should love or hate around the world.
The good thing is that these faces change every decade or so. A few years ago, Bill Gates and Jim Walton were also on this list.
