اربعین کیا ہے؟

#اربعین حضرت امام حسینؓ کے #مزار کی زیارت کا دن ہے۔ شیعہ روایت کے مطابق، اسی دن حضرت امام حسینؓ کا سرِ مبارک دمشق سے واپس لا کر کربلا میں آپ کے جسدِ مبارک کے ساتھ دفن کیا گیا تھا۔

#اربعین کیا ہے؟

اربعین کے معنی ہیں چالیسواں دن۔ یہ حضرت امام حسینؓ اور اُن کے وفادار ساتھیوں کی شہادت کے چالیسویں دن، یعنی 20 صفر کو منایا جاتا ہے۔

برصغیر میں سنی اور شیعہ دونوں مکاتبِ فکر میں عام طور پر وفات کے بعد چوتھے اور چالیسویں دن مرحوم کے لیے دعائے مغفرت اور فاتحہ خوانی کا اہتمام کیا جاتا ہے، اگرچہ اس کی شرعی حیثیت کے بارے میں علماء کی آراء مختلف ہیں۔

واقعۂ کربلا کے بعد حضرت امام حسینؓ کے اہلِ بیت، جن میں خواتین، بچے اور حضرت امام زین العابدینؒ شامل تھے، کو قیدی بنا کر پہلے کوفہ اور پھر دمشق لے جایا گیا۔ بعد ازاں یزید نے انہیں رہا کر دیا۔

شیعہ روایت کے مطابق، رہائی کے بعد واپسی کے سفر میں قافلہ 20 صفر (اربعین) کے دن کربلا پہنچا، جہاں حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ انصاریؓ بھی حضرت امام حسینؓ کے مزار پر حاضری کے لیے آئے ہوئے تھے۔ اسی مناسبت سے شیعہ حضرات ہر سال اربعین کے موقع پر حضرت امام حسینؓ کی یاد میں اجتماع اور زیارت کا اہتمام کرتے ہیں۔ تاہم بعض مؤرخین اس روایت کی تاریخی صحت پر اختلاف بھی کرتے ہیں۔

بلاشبہ اربعین کا دن تمام مسلمانوں کے لیے حضرت امام حسینؓ کی عظیم قربانی، صبر، استقامت اور حق کی خاطر دی گئی بے مثال جدوجہد کو یاد کرنے کا ایک اہم موقع ہے۔
