On The Path of Peace And Happiness ?

On The Path of Peace And Happiness ?  (Sahil Sharifdin Bhat) ''On this planet, there are many things that can tempt you. You might desire different styles of homes or various models of cars. You might seek respect from your family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers. You may wish to be attractive and have a good job. Pleasing your parents, siblings, spouse, and children might be important to you. Traveling the world and providing the best education for your children could be on your mind. And naturally, you'd prefer not to worry about bills for electricity, water, internet, medical expenses, and so on. These desires can overwhelm your life and make it hard to find daily peace and restful sleep at night. But here's a different perspective: Instead of desperately pursuing every wish and want like a mad dog chasing cars, consider a new approach. Focus on three essential things: your health, knowledge, and wealth. By prioritizing these, other things and people will na

I Love Hussain as I was Taught by The Grandfather of Hussain

I Love Hussain as I was Taught by The Grandfather of Hussain (Sahil Sharifdin Bhat) کہہ دو غمِ حسین منانے والوں کو مومن کبھی شہدا کا ماتم نہیں کرتے Although I initially had no intention of discussing this topic, I came across some social media posts promoting practices not aligned with the true essence of Islam. While loving Hazrat Hussain [RA] is an integral part of our iman , it is crucial to condemn the promotion of violence  in the name of Islam . As followers of the teachings laid down by our beloved Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), we must respect and honour our martyrs in accordance with his guidelines. It is essential to distinguish between genuine Islamic practices and mere personal desires falsely labeled as Islam. As a humble individual, nay , a big sinner, I am not a scholar, but I have read from Islamic books about how Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) profoundly honored his companions after they were martyred in the battlefields. Despite losing his uncle Hazret Hamzah [RA], his cous

Imam Al-Ghazali, The Philosopher who became Sufi

Imam Al-Ghazali, The Philosopher who became Sufi  Abu Hamid Muhammad Al-Ghazali was born in 1058 in Tus, Persia. His father was a Sufi and wool merchant. It is likely that Al-Ghazali was named after his father's business, as "ghazzali" means "wool merchant." When his father passed away, Al-Ghazali and his brother were taken care of by a Sufi friend named Ahmad al-Radkhani, who promised to educate them. Al-Ghazali’s early education was challenging due to poor economic conditions. However, at the age of fifteen, he was able to continue his studies with a renowned scholar named Abu Nasr al-Ismaʾili in Jurgan, near the Caspian Sea. During his studies, he would take notes but not bother to understand or memorize the lessons. Once, while returning to his hometown of Tus from Jurgan, his group was attacked by bandits. When Al-Ghazali pleaded for them not to steal his school notebooks, the leader of the robbers mocked him. This incident made Al-Ghazali realize that t

Life Story of Mansur Al-Hallaj, the Notorious Sufi

Life Story  of Mansur Al-Hallaj, the Notorious Sufi  Mansur Al-Hallaj, born in 858 CE in South Iran, was a prominent figure in Islamic mysticism, known as Sufism. At a young age, he displayed exceptional dedication by memorizing the holy Quran before the age of 12. Al-Hallaj was a Sunni Muslim and received teachings from various sources, but his most influential teacher was Junaid of Baghdad. Al-Hallaj married the daughter of another Sufi, Yaqub bin Aqta, and the couple had three sons. However, his first mistake was openly teaching, preaching, and writing about Sufism. This led to him being disliked and even hated by other Sufis. Despite this opposition, Al-Hallaj managed to gather a considerable number of followers and made multiple pilgrimages to Mecca. His teachings were not well-received by the civil and religious authorities of the time. He faced accusations of aiding a group of political rebels known as the Zang Rebels. Al-Hallaj was also associated with miraculous incidents, s

And Those Who Left Me Alone In Pain

And Those Who Left Me Alone In Pain   ( Sahil Sharifdin Bhat )        Great things take time, this I know, With patience, I'll reap what I sow.   I am a strong believer in hard labour  And my strong belief does not waver.  Those who mock me and seem ahead, Will be forgotten after they are dead.  But, a poet continues to live in the hearts  Of the lovely people when he departs.   I laboured hard when the others snored And my hard labour won't be ignored.  I sacrificed my youth and nightly sleep,  I will not be left forever to weep.   Yes , the great souls are tested and tried  But, the fruit of their labour is not denied.  Those who invest their blood and sweat Will be surely rewarded if not yet.  If there is truly the Kind Divine,   He will not waste the labour of mine, He will bless me with success and fame, He will put all my enemies to shame  And those who left me alone in pain  Shall witness my rise and grow insane.   === ==== ==== ===

When Mother Is Near I Feel Alright

; When Mother Is Near I Feel Alright    (Poet, Sahil Sharifdin Bhat) Mother is a blessing, love and mercy.  Mother is a synonym of 'beauty'.   Mother is a path to the Paradise.  Mother , on the earth, is God's deputy. A son and his mother will never separate.  Each other , they will never ever hate.  But, a wicked wife has magical powers To end motherly love  or to mitigate In a dark night, mother is a light.  In a painful world , mother is a delight.  Be there lightning, thunder or storms  When mother is near, I feel alright.

She Took Her Life

She Took Her Life  ( Poet : Sahil Sharifdin Bhat) Troilus was happy, strong and fair.  He knew not sorrow, he knew not despair.  His heart was pure, his spirit was bright. He shone like a star in the darkest night. But, then came Cresside, gorgeous and hot And in her beauty, Troilus was caught. The couple was happy, lovely and sweet Before the evil Cresside began to cheat.  Her heart went wild , her eyes strayed,  She chased men like a loose maid.  Finally, she married an unloving rich man, Leaving Troilus in deep agony and pain. Cresside's bridal joys were soon blown, She was dumped and left alone.  She lost her head and then blasphemed, ''God was cruel to her, '' She screamed.  God was angry and struck her with leprosy. Everyone left her after she lost her beauty.   She began to live in a dirty street Where she used to beg , sleep and eat.  Troilus passed by her one fateful day And recognized her without any delay.  He was enjoying the days of prosperity

If Al-Dajjal Comes Now

If Al-Dajjal Comes Now  ( POET : Sahil Sharifdin Bhat)  How man does seek after wealth, pleasures, and fame, Blinding himself to righteousness, faith, and the infernal flame.  Heaven and hell, mere concepts, forgotten and left behind, As he toils for riches, in this world, lost and blind. If Al-Dajjal comes now with promises of luxury and gain, We would fall for his deceit, and join his unholy campaign.  Knowing his path of darkness and deception, leads only to doom, And his followers shall face the divine wrath and gloom. Greed has consumed mankind, like a raging fire, Love and compassion, replaced by selfish desire, But let us not forget, that goodness will exist And righteousness and faith, shall forever persist. Let us shun the temporary pleasures, of this transient life, And strive for the eternal home, beyond pain and strife, For only in goodness, can we find true peace and grace, And separate ourselves, from the greedy race.

Eid Is Not A Holy Festival Any More

Eid Is Not A Holy Festival Any More  ( Poet:  Sahil Sharifdin Bhat) Once upon a time, Eid was a magical day, When the world was painted in hues of play. A young boy dressed in his finest attire, Smiling wide, heart filled with desire. Running and laughing with friends galore, Memories that he'll always adore. With a few coins jingling in his pocket, He felt the world hanging as his locket.  Oh, how he wished Eid would never end, And the joy it brings would forever extend! As time went by, his thoughts strayed,  Because, the charm of Eid began to fade. He loathed the new clothes and festive cheer, And wished he could make it all disappear. The once jubilant day now brought him pain, And he felt trapped in a tunnel of bane . He locked himself away, away from the light, And concealed himself in the darkness of night.  Now , Eid was a time to display assets  And mock those caught in poverty nets.  ''Now the spirit of Islam, it does ignore.  Eid is not a holy festival any
