#Sadio and  Our Common Autobiography

Have you ever heard  about the world famous football player "Sadio Mane of Senegal" (West Africa), whose income is $186K per week ? Well, you are busy in knowing and copying  the trash and garbage . Good luck with that ! Sadio is one of the best human beings and one of the top philanthropists walking on the surface of the earth nowadays.  We   want to earn wealth by hook and by crook so that we can impress our friends, our neighbors and the strangers on the social media . Some of us chase wealth only because it facilitates our favourite sins and crimes.  We are born , we eat , we drink , we grow up, we earn ,  we find our partners, we produce kids and help them grow up like we did ,  we die and we are forgotten  . That is our  common autobiography . Tell me , how are we unlike dogs , pigs , donkeys and other  animals if we live like the people described above ? Have we ever thought why the world celebrates the birthday of Jesus , the birthday of Mohammed ﷺ , Saladin day , Gandhi Day , Nelson Mandela Day , Mother Teresa day , George Washington day , Shakespeare day , Iqbal day or similar other  days ?  It is because all those people lived unlike animals and they dedicated their entire lives for the welfare of the humanity. When we live for ourselves, we die , we are gone and our chapter is closed for ever.  On the contrary , when we live for the humanity, the humanity never dies and we live for ever . A pessimist a cynic or a negative thinker will ask , '' how will the celebration of  Gandhi Day benefit Mr Gandhi when he is dead and gone ? '' I answer him that the  main purposes of every individual in life are  to earn livelihood , to stay healthy and to earn respect . People work  hard in schools , colleges , businesses, farms , companies etc to earn maximum wealth so that they will be able to wear expensive dresses , drive latest cars , build fashionable homes , marry most popular and most beautiful people etc only and only because they want to Impress the maximum number of fellow human beings and they desire to  be respected most in the world .  What is wrong if that impression and that  respect last their entire lives and centuries after their deaths ? What is wrong if their families, their communities and their nations are also respected throughout the world because of them ? Tell me , what is wrong if they become the role models and the sources of inspiration for the future generations as well ? Yes , tell me , what is wrong if we do something that benefits us for a few years and benefits also the entire world for a few thousand years ? Well, there is definitely nothing wrong in it . Nevertheless, there is certainly something wrong the minds of cynics and they need to see psychiatrists right away  .
Coming back to the great philanthrope , Sadio . He was seen in many places with a broken mobile phone. He was asked about it in an interview and  he said . '' I'll get it fixed '' . He was again asked , '' why  are you not buying a new one ? ''  He opened his bosom to the world and spoke passionately , '' I could buy a thousand mobile phones , 10 Ferraris, 2 Jet Planes, diamond watches and lots of things , but,  why do I need all of these?
I saw poverty, so,  I couldn't gain good education.  After I was blessed with wealth , I built schools so that people could gain good education. I didn't have shoes.  I played without shoes, I didn't have good clothes. I didn't have food. I have so much today but I want to share it with my unprivileged people instead of showing off my wealth by buying branded gadgets and other  expensive stuff . I have no intention to impress anyone. I wanna do all I can for the unprivileged ones . ''

Imagine , if people like Sadio were in every nation. Think , if people like him were in every home ,  village , town , city and province . Is it not in our hands to turn the selfish world into the selfless one ? How long will we be barking that the world is bad and the people of the world are greedy ? Who are these people of the world ? They are us and none else . Are we ready to adopt a poor village or a poor family or a poor person? Are we willing to give the 5% of our yearly income in charity ? Are we ready to stop competing with the greedy people and start competing with the people like Sadio , Ronaldo ,  Gandhi, Jesus , Washington, Mandela and Mother Teresa?

It was just a  glimpse of a true Muslim. #Sadio , is a true muslim . He is not like halwa eating molvis who reduced Islam to '' faith conflicts '' and '' the way of offering namaz  conflicts '' , neglecting social, economic, political, geographical, historical, cultural and numerous other aspects of Islam . When we accept any sect of Islam  , we confine ourselves in a small and shallow well. When we accept  #Islam , we allow ourselves to swim in a boundless ocean .
Sadio is from #Senegal . I bet,  99% literate Muslims of this region don't know whether Senegal is a Muslim or a non-muslim country. After reading these words here , many a clever crows will rush to Google to find it out .  Shame upon us ! We don't know our community properly , yet , we get angry when our community is attacked by the aggressive enemies of Muslims and Islam . Knowing about ourselves  is a big worship . Knowing our map , our languages , our flags , our cultures, our population, our heroes , our leaders , our technology, our armies , our capabilities, our past , our present,  our problems etc are our modern kalimas . Remember it, we don't have only one Kalima or six kalimas , rather,  we have many more . Our first kalima is truly  La ilaha Illallah Muhammadur rasulullah  ﷺ and yet we worship wealth , fame , expensive gadgets , fashionable clothes and pretty looking homes .
We say our Allah is the superpower and yet we fear rats , cats , dogs , pigs , genociders, usurpers, colonists ,  urine drinkers and those who are born out of wedlocks  .   We have no right to blame anyone else for our misfortunes unless we bring ourselves on the right track . We need to study hard and do wonders in the spheres of science, technology, engineering, defense , agriculture, health , literature, the media  etc .  We are muslims. We have problems. We have to identify our problems and then we have to  find the solutions to our problems . We don't have to wait for Geneva , Paris , Beijing, Moscow , Berlin , Washington and London . Why will our neighbors help us ? Why should they ? We need to get on our own feet and think first  about our extended family i e the entire nation of Mohammed ﷺ and then about our personal families i e husband, wife , kids and parents .  A fish needs to worry about the entire ocean not just her own nest because the poison in the ocean means poison in her nest too.
Let me conclude this article with the following quotation from the holy Quran :
''One who does an iota of good will be rewarded.
One who does an iota of evil will be punished. ''
